Fall in love with the most authentic ambience. It's not just the looks of the place but the smell and sound which makes it very unique. They have varieties of food stuffs and each one has different taste and quality. The diversity is astounding, from the distinctive "thatte-idly" to the delectable "masala dosa". The ambience of the café is cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff providing excellent service. The prices were reasonable, considering the quality and taste of the food. Overall, my experience at Vedam was exceptional. If you're craving an authentic South Indian tiffin experience with dishes like Thatte Idli, dosa, vada, poori and rice items, this is the place to be. Highly recommended for food enthusiasts and South Indian cuisine lovers alike. ~ Jyos P
So recently Vedam got open in Sarjapur after Wipro office, and I loved the food. Their menu has so much variety from breakfast till midnight craving. Hospitality is top notch with great service. There varieties of food can give many options for people to try out in different meal. Good part is all food items are pocket friendly and this place gets open at 6:30am which remains open till 1:00am. So for your midnight cravings this plan can be the go to one. People should visit this place to try out below item: Gongura Rice Lemon Idli Ghee Paddu Filter coffee Kottu Paratha and many more I recommend people to visit and try out the best South Indian dishes in bnglr. ~ Aakriti S

If you visit Vedam, be sure to look for Vijay—he will make your dining experience unforgettable! ~ Akhil S
We were a group of 15 on a busy sunday noon. They were out of coffee, tea and a few items . Seating arrangement is very less but it's a small place so they can't accommodate more . That's all about the cribbing. Let's come to the good part 😉 , food delicious, ghee on top of everything no kanjoosi in pouring that, we practically ate everything on the menu . The manager arranged a table for 15 of us, despite self service , he helped in order and other things . Also made sure tea coffee was ready and served to us on priority. So a good experience overall. Probably would avoid weekend mornings next time. ~ ruchika b
We went here on a thursday night to try this new place, ordered ghee podi idli and mangalore bajji. these both were served with coconut chutney and tomato chutney. both the chutneys were fresh but i absolutely loved the tomato chutney. Podi idli had ample amount of podi n ghee loaded onto it n idli's texture was soft. Mangalore bajjis were good in taste but were not even warm. coffee was like typical bangalore style filter kaapi. Will visit sometime soon here again to try out their other offerings and would want them to come up with their new outlet in Electronic city asap. ~ Ritika R

In a city obsessed with Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs), Bangalore's culinary scene never disappoints. I've discovered a new gem – Vedam, nestled in Sarjapur. 🌆 Vedam boasts a diverse menu that caters to every palate. The live kitchens here are impressively clean and remarkably efficient. The food quality is unparalleled, truly top-notch. 🍳 On my visit, I decided to start with the basics, and each dish was a revelation: 1. Ghee Masala Dosa 🥞 2. Pudi Thatte Idli 🍽️ 3. Dahi Vada 🍛 4. Special Multi-Grain Dosa 🌾 5. Filter Coffee ☕ 6. Tea 🍵 Every bite was an explosion of flavors, and every sip a warm embrace. The pricing is competitive, and the service lightning-fast, which is a blessing in a city that never sleeps. What sets Vedam apart is its relative newness. It's a hidden treasure waiting for the rest of Bangalore to catch on. So, if you're in Sarjapur and looking for a delightful culinary adventure, Vedam is a must-visit. 🤩 Get ready to embark on a gastronomic journey that combines tradition and innovation, and experience the magic of Vedam for yourself. 🍽️🤤 ~ Arnab K
The flavors here are unmatched. The sambar has a perfect balance of sweet and spice, while the dosas are crisp yet soft inside. The ghee idlis are melt in the mouth divine. The staff is attentive and courteous and the ambience is cozy with a homely South Indian touch. Everything is freshly prepared and the aromas transport you straight to Tamil Nadu. I also loved the authentic filter coffee that is served piping hot. A must visit for South Indian food lovers! ~ Fransis M
This is very similar to Rameswaram Cafe, self service restaurant. Food is delicious, even minus the ghee, the taste and texture of the dosa & idli are good. Expect delays during rush hour, it's best to stick to upma/rice items if you're in a hurry. No amount of shouting is gonna reduce the time taken to steam the idlis and roast the dosas. People should just learn to be patient and not ruin the atmosphere for other customers just coz they had to wait during peak hours. ~ Roopa B
The food quality is very good. They have a variety of dishes. The ambience is good and clean. Service is very good. The supervisor Mr. Ashok Poojari is very friendly. He was very helpful in choosing the dishes. Definitely a place to visit frequently. Sweet Pongal was awesome. It felt that I was eating temple Prasada. Coffee is also good. One of the best coffees in this area. Also one of the best south indian restaurants on Sarjapur road. A much needed restaurant in this area. Thankyou. ~ Kavya V
Giving 5 stars because their filter kaapi was very good. If you like ghee, then you’ll like their dishes. Nothing brand new or something that stands out but definitely a clean place for breakfast. Apart from a teething issue that I spotted today which was them running out of gas, I liked everything we had: Ghee Pudi thatte idli Pudi Thatte idli Ghee Onion dosa My honest review about this place is that it’s like Rameshwaram Cafe minus waiting time. ~ Anubha U
Very good dosa, mini Sambhar idli and vada. Sambhar is a bit sweet, but has higher dal content than udupis in the area. Ghee levels are a bit lower than rameshwaram cafe and thats good, although some of them other places have slightly better dosas. Pricing is on the higher side though. Car Parking is available but in limited quantity in front of restaurant, might be difficult on peak times in the weekend. They also have all day dosas so that's another positive. ~ Rohit M
New South Indian breakfast place in Sarjapur. Huge space with elegant sitting and standing space too. Filter coffee was the best here it will be served in brass utensils also. Paddu with ghee topping and khara bath is a must try. Masala dosa and open masala dosa was yummy. Kothu Paratha and kanchipuram idli was special dishes we Tried here. Pakoda and aloo bonda are some yummy evening snacks available here. Tomato bath, veg biryani and many more dishes are available here. ~ Vijay k
Very good quality food with no compromise to taste. Freshness of food is evident. Price is slightly on the higher side considering a self service restaurant. But, i think against the quality its still worth. Thatte idli, button idli, and rava idli are very good. Soft idli's, good sambar, coconut chutney. Dosa taste is very good as well. In sweet, tried kesari bhath is Ok. Chai and coffe is good. Overall, had a good brunch. ~ varun v
Masala Dosa was crispy and delicious. Mostly all items are prepared with ghee. Sambar was decently thick which is a welcome deviation in comparison to other places where you find it to be almost watery. Both chutneys also tasted good. I was initially hesitant to visit due to <4 ratings. But chose to try out still and glad that I did, as this has become one of my go-to places for having a proper meal. ~ Bharat G
A go to place for an authentic south Indian food. A typical tamilnadu idly sambar with coconut chutney and coriander chutney. Their Ven pongal is simply yummy. Sumptuous dahi vada, with thick tasty curd with sprinkled masala on top. Medhu vada is less oily unlike in other places in Bangalore, and is tasty. .A refreshing strong filter coffee tops it all. On the whole the ambience is really good where a family or an individual feels comfortable. ~ Suba K
This place is a nice South Indian breakfast spot in and around Sarjapur Road. They have a lot of options and varieties in the menu ranging from dosas to idlis, puris and so more. I absolutely loved the paneer masala dosa and ghee podi idli here. Don’t forget to try the filter coffee for sure. It’s a self service restaurant but has ample area of sitting. There is a parking space available as well. They do deliver via zomato and swiggy as well. ~ VIPUL T
This South Indian restaurant is a paradise for food lovers! The thate idli is incredibly soft and melts in your mouth. The dosas are perfectly crisp and the chutney adds an amazing kick of flavor. The use of ghee in their dishes enhances the taste beautifully. The service is prompt and the staff are very welcoming. The traditional decor and clean ambience make it a lovely place to dine. Highly recommended for authentic South Indian cuisine! ~ Deb L
Recently opened on Sarjapur road and very similar to the likes of Rameshwaram Cafe, Cafe Amutham etc. Many breakfast options and most items tasted great. Generous portions of ghee on top of all dishes by default so make sure you specify if you do not want that. The only downside is that the place gets crowded very easily and feels a little dark inside making one feel cramped. Better lighting inside could improve the experience considerably. ~ Srividhya R
If you are craving South Indian delicacies, this place is a hidden gem. The thate idli paired with the spicy chutney and sambar is heavenly. The masala dosa is generously stuffed with flavorful potato filling. The service is prompt and the staff is well trained and polite. The restaurant is clean and hygienic and they use fresh ingredients. Their filter coffee is the perfect end to the meal. Highly recommended! ~ Varun J
Great place .. they are still learning in terms of servicing during busy hours .. dosa station seem to be understaffed especially on weekends .. food is great , everything was tasty .. coffee price is little on higher side ;) millet items are available only in the evenings , but we were so happy to see millet in the menu.. dosa idly top notch .. best wishes! This kinda place was much needed for Sarjapur road ~ mohan S
Finally we have a great food joint that serves mouth licking South Indian variety of food. The food is amazing and tastes great. It is open from 6:30 AM and closes at 1 AM. They have a wide variety of food. The service has improved from the past few weeks. They should also have an option for sugar free tea and coffee. The sugar content is very high in tea and coffee which is pre-mixed. ~ Rohit P
Finally a very good South Indian food joint in Sarjapur. Taste is nice and soothing. Noticed utmost cleanliness and good seating arrangement. I tried Ghee Pudi Masala Dosa, Kanchipuram Idli which is a new delicacy and also tried bhajji which I wouldn't recommend. Overall it's a great place which should be tried atleast once. And another plus point is it's open till 12 midnight. ~ Mehul C
Gives you that Rameshwaram vibe without the excessive crowd. Tastes like Rameshwaram cafe food too. Maintained very neat and looks very hygienic. They don’t have many benches to sit so you may need to stand. Also the price is the same as Rameshwaram, on the pricier side but quality is good. Parking maybe an issue as it’s in a complex where other customers park too. Definitely a must visit place. ~ Abishek K
